What's the deal with Subscription Boxes?

Posted on October 27 2016

I'm a bit of a sucker for subscription boxes. I was in the Beta group for Luxe Box, but after having a baby I decided that it wasn't necessary to be spending that money monthly on beauty samples so I gave it up. I did like the box however, plus it's a Canadian company and they ship for free. That box got me hooked on a few great products like Moroccan Oil, and B. Kamins lip balm (which is amazing btw).

I joined a super cute box club for kids called Fox something rather, and I just adored it. Sadly, there was a family drama with the owners and it was shut down by a disgruntled sibling. So sad.

A few years later Birchbox was launched in Canada, we even did a few giveaways for them. Sadly they've put a hiatus on their Canadian operations.

This summer, curiosity got the best of me and I signed up for the FabFitFun Summer box after seeing some celeb posting about it on Instagram. I'm such a sucker. It is $50 a box, and you can receive upwards of $200 in full sized product. WHOA. I love a good deal!

I was actually overwhelmed by how much goodness was packed in the 16 x 10" box (approx).

So... I signed up for the fall box too and even purchased add on's from their site as I had eyed some dreamy gifts for an annual Girls Christmas dinner.

I'm likely going to get another box from fabfitfun, and if you're interested click below!

If beauty/fitness isn't your thing, there a subscription box for everyone...seriously.

Canadian Subscription Box Addict has a full list here. Categories like booze books, coffee, food, eco, fashion, grooming, hobby, kids, and more.
